Strawberry Almond Smoothie Bowl
As the weather gets warmer, it is so easy to fall into the pattern of smoothie bowls for breakfast every day. They’re quick, easy, require minimal clean-up and the icy cold bite in the morning helps wake ya up!
But I get bored of the same old smoothie bowls day to day. This Strawberry Almond Smoothie Bowl is a fun twist. I love drizzling nut butters over my bowls. The mix of textures is totally addicting.
However, I often find my almond butter too solid to drizzle. The trick?
Pop a spoonful in a small bowl and microwave for just 15-30 seconds, it will soften up and instantly become drizzle-able. Plus, then it will solidify up in a fun way once the warm butter hits the frozen surface of the smoothie. Total texture heaven!
I also love sprinkling a little granola on my smoothie bowl from time to time. It makes the bowl have even more staying power (you may not even be hungry by lunch!), and it creates a lovely crunchy bite throughout the bowl that’s delicious! Shake up your smoothie bowl habit with this tasty frozen treat!
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1 scoop vanilla protein optional
- 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower
- cacao nibs
- chia seeds
- almond slivers
- Cascadian Farm's Strawberry Granola
- almond butter
Blend the almond milk, frozen strawberries, frozen banana, vanilla protein and frozen cauliflower on high until smooth.
Pour into a bowl and top with cacao nibs, chia seeds, almond slivers, coconut flakes, Cascadian Farm's Strawberry Granola and a good drizzle of almond butter.
