I love experimenting with new hummus flavors and this Everything Bagel Hummus is no exception. It's packed with Everything Bagel seasoning and tastes divine with bagel chips or veggies!
This Everything Bagel Hummus is out of this world! It's wildly easy and crazy delicious. And tastes just like an everything bagel thanks to the wicked popular Everything but the Bagel seasoning from Trader Joe's.
Making creamy hummus is all about the ingredients and the method. You need well rinsed and drained chickpeas, good Tahini (Soom is my favorite), fresh lemon juice and fresh garlic.
The one trick I do know about making creamy hummus is the ice water. When you start the whole process, add a cup of water in a glass to your freezer to really chill it down. Then once you have all your main ingredients combined in the food processor, grab your icy water and slowly drizzle it tablespoon by tablespoon into the processor while it's running. This will bring your hummus together and give it that creamy, luscious texture.
Then spoon the hummus into a bowl and top with a drizzle of oil oil and a sprinkling with Everything Bagel seasoning. Dig in with bagel chips (duh!) or veggies, pretzels or pita.
Everything Bagel Hummus
Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas drained and rinsed
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon tahini
- 2-3 tablespoons Everything Bagel seasoning
- 4 tablespoons ice water
Instructions
- In a food processor, add the rinsed chickpeas, olive oil, lemon juice, tahini and everything bagel seasoning. Turn on high and let combine for 1 minute, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Slowly add the ice water tablespoon by tablespoon until the hummus is smooth. Blend another minute on high until hummus is entirely creamy.
