Hey hey! Another day, another smoothie bowl. But this isn't any ol' smoothie bowl—this Chocolate Cherry Smoothie Bowl is a total treat.
It's deeply chocolate-y, juicy from the frozen cherries and sneakily packed with a big handful of veggie goodness! Seriously tastes like a chocolate milkshake... for breakfast!
Some may say that smoothie bowls are so yesterday, but honestly, I'm not sure I'll ever give them up.
I know it's entirely mental, but a regular smoothie will keep me full half as long as a smoothie bowl loaded with crunchy toppings eaten with a spoon.
And of course, as with all smoothie bowls, it's really all about the toppings! I always keep mason jars in my pantry stocked with all kinds of toppings and if I have any complimentary fresh fruit in the fridge, I'll add some of that on top too!
The best smoothie bowl toppings:
cacao nibs (antioxidants)
hemp seeds (a perfect protein)
chia seeds (Omega-3s)
ground flax seeds (fiber)
coconut flakes (good fats)
granola (crunchy 😉 )
sliced raw almonds
nut butters
peanut butter powder
fresh fruit
